RuralEdge to Celebrate NeighborWorks Partnership with #NWweek 2022!
As we enter the post-Pandemic period, RuralEdge employees, residents, and community members will gather to improve community spaces, empowering communities for success! Below is the list of our planned activities:
Community BBQ
June 6th, 12pm-2pm
Shattuck Hill Mobile Home Park, Newport
Residents of Shattuck Hill Mobile Home Park will gather with staff for a BBQ and conversation on ways they seek to strengthen their community in the coming year. This event is not open to the public.
Outdoor Community Clean-Up
June 7th, 12pm-3:30pm
Derby Line Gardens, Derby Line
RuralEdge staff, residents, and community volunteers are welcome to bring lawn tools, shovels, and power tools to trim trees, build garden boxes, and prepare all gardens for the growing season!
Deck Expansion Project
June 8th & 9th, 12pm-4:00pm
Glover Housing
RuralEdge staff, residents, and community members are welcome to bring power tools and their energy as we build a 150 square foot addition to the ground-level deck at Glover Housing, making the community gardens accessible to wheelchair-bound residents and expanding an outdoor gathering area for all residents to gather during warmer months. This is a large project and many hands will make light work!
Groton Community Clean-Up & NeighborWorks Presentation
June 10th, 10am-2pm
Groton Community Housing & Groton Free Public Library, Groton
Many RuralEdge staff will end their work week by traveling to Groton to improve the spaces outside the Groton Free Public Library, Artesano storefront, and more, taking a break to enjoy a free lunch and presentation on NeighborWorks America by RuralEdge's NeighborWorks Relationship Manager Trisha Guditz. Community members are welcome to bring their lawn tools and join in the fun, and the lunch!
Mountain View Community Clean-Up & Lawn Games
June 11th, 1pm-4pm

Mountain View residents will join their Property Manager and other RuralEdge staff in painting the mailbox structure, hanging a new property sign, and improving flower gardens before ending the day with lawn games and refreshments. Other community members are welcome to attend!
